Recommended Practices for Safety & Health Programs Webinar

DESCRIPTION:
IN 2016, OSHA UPDATED ITS RECOMMENDED PRACTICES FOR SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAMS TO HELP EMPLOYERS ESTABLISH THEIR OWN SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAMS (REPLACING THE VOLUNTARY GUIDELINES, FIRST PUBLISHED IN 1989).  THE RECOMMENDED PRACTICES HAVE BEEN UPDATED TO REFLECT OUR BEST THINKING AND EXPERIENCES FROM EMPLOYERS THAT HAVE SUCCESSFULLY ADOPTED SAFETY AND HEALTH MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS FOCUSED ON IDENTIFYING, ASSESSING, PREVENTING, AND CONTROLLING WORKPLACE HAZARDS.  NEW MATERIAL SHOULD BE PARTICULARLY HELPFUL TO SMALL- AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES, AND ALSO ADDRESSES WAYS IN WHICH MULTIPLE EMPLOYERS AT THE SAME WORKSITE CAN COORDINATE EFFORTS TO PROTECT ALL WORKERS.

THIS WEBINAR WILL FOCUS ON OSHA’S NEW GUIDANCE DOCUMENT, NEW TOOLS AND RESOURCES, AND INTRODUCE THE SAFE + SOUND CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAMS, OF WHICH VPPPA IS A PROUD CO-ORGANIZER.
