The Ins and Outs of Confined Space Entry. • December 12, 2024 • Time: 9:00 am til noon • Location: Oregon OSHA Salem Field Office Training Room, 1340 Tandem Ave. NE, Suite 160, Salem, Oregon • Seating is limited to the first 25 attendees- RSVP is required • This class will be offered virtually. You must RSVP to get the code to attend virtually. Parking is available. Ins and Outs of Confined Space Entry Confined spaces present unique and deadly hazards that require specialized knowledge and skills to navigate safely. We will be focusing on the following areas: the many elements required for a confined space program, identifying and handling hazards associated with confined space entry, and proper entry procedures. All while looking at confined space fatalities for lessons learned and how to keep them from happening to your workers. Join us in for an interactive session on helping your employees to get in, get the job done, and live to work another day. This session will be led by Marcus Silkbaron, Safety Consultant with Oregon OSHA The Oregon Sharp Alliance has continued its presence at conferences throughout Oregon and in Washington at the Region X VPPPA. All the conferences the SHARP Alliance supports through Legacy Sponsorships had representatives manning the new vendor booth (pictured at right). The SHARP Operating Committee voted to increase its financial Legacy Sponsorship of:
* Govenor's Safety and Health Conference, held in Portland on odd years. * Cascade Conference held in Eugene in March. * Region X VPPPA Conference held in May rotating between AK, ID, WA and OR. See the web site, Classic Home - VPPPA Region X (regionxvpppa.org) for additional information. * Blue Mountain Conference, fully sponsored by SHARP Alliance in Pendelton OR. * Central Oregon Conference in Bend held in September annually. * Southern Oregon Conference held in Ashland in Portland in October annually. * Western Pulp, Paper & Forest Conference in Portland the week after Thanksgiving annually. Workshops are not always specific to Pulp, Paper and Forest. * Safety Break for Oregon, held in May, annually. * O[yes] Student Video contest held annually Check the calendar for more details on all conferences, regional and SHARP Alliance activities. Membership
Full membership is open to those companies who have received SHARP or VPP recognition from Oregon OSHA.
Associate membership is open to all others. |
FlagsThe Oregon SHARP Alliance has been authorized by the Oregon OSHA VPP/SHARP Program Manager to purchase replacement SHARP Graduate and VPP Star flags in bulk, in order to help SHARP and VPP sites replace their flags at a lower cost.
