Oregon Sharp Alliance
The Mission of the Oregon SHARP (Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program) Alliance is to promote safety and health management and cooperation among companies and government for the betterment of all Oregon workers.
The health and safety of all Oregonians is of vital importance to the Oregon SHARP Alliance.
The 2023 year will close in December with elections for the 2024-2026 term (positions and the nomination process shown below) and Fall Protection and Ladder Safety presented by Omar Lopez with OSHA Consultation Services.
The election and Training will be held 12/14/2023 from 9:30am - 12:30pm at: Chemeketa Brooks RTC Building #1 4910 Brooklake NE Salem, Oregon 97305 An invitation, RSVP and additional information will be added soon. Contact cliffbutler0@gmail.com if you have any questions. The Sharp Alliance has continued its presence at conferences throughout Oregon and in Washington at the Region X VPPPA. All the conferences the SHARP Alliance supports through Legacy Sponsorships had representatives manning the new vendor booth (pictured at right). The SHARP Operating Committee voted to increase its financial Legacy Sponsorship of:
Govenor's Safety and Health Conference, held in Portland on odd years. Cascade Conference held in Eugene in March. Region X VPPPA Conference held in May rotating between AK, ID, WA and OR. Central Oregon Conference in Bend held in September annually. Southern Oregon Conference held in Ashland in Portland in October annually. Western Pulp, Paper & Forest Conference in Portland the week after Thanksgiving annually. Workshops are not always specific to Pulp, Paper and Forest. Membership
Full membership is open to those companies who have received SHARP or VPP recognition from Oregon OSHA.
Associate membership is open to all others. |
FlagsThe Oregon SHARP Alliance has been authorized by the Oregon OSHA VPP/SHARP Program Manager to purchase replacement SHARP Graduate and VPP Star flags in bulk, in order to help SHARP and VPP sites replace their flags at a lower cost.
